Koombu (Decorative Finial)
The Koombu is the decorative clay finial placed at the apex of a roof, temple gopuram, or gate pillar. Available in three heights — 1 step (smallest), 2 step (medium), and 3 step (tallest). A traditional element in Kerala and Tamil Nadu architecture, the Koombu is purely decorative and is mortared onto the ridge tile at the peak.
